A broad base with specific goals.
As much as people mock it, highsec is one of the most critical parts of the EVE experience. Retaining people via good highsec mechanics, while also encouraging them to branch out, is key to a sustainable player count.
While lowsec as a whole is in serious need of help, the area important to me in particular is Faction Warfare. It creates a very unique type of gameplay, found nowhere else, and represents many player’s first taste of PVP.
Nullsec represents one of the key features that differentiates EVE from any other game. The sandbox is truly free, with empires rivaling the NPC ones in highsec arising from absolutely nothing. That being said, this openness makes it very tough to balance, which is why it’s important to revise consistently.
I’ve always had a soft spot for wormholes, they represent the Wild West of EVE, with a combat dynamic that throws the nullsec out the window and replaces it completely. Sadly, more and more people are choosing to simply use wormholes as a travel mechanic instead of a home, which is a trend I’d like to reverse..
A candidate you can put stock in.
I’ve been all over just about every type of gameplay in EVE, in part thanks to being evicted a ton, though the plurality of my experience is with nullsec. I want to bring this knowledge, along with my experience in running Dreddit and Brave, to provide a new perspective on the CSM.
